Late frost has become an increasingly common problem in Europe, particularly affecting the agricultural sector. This year, the issue was especially pronounced at the end of April. A cold air mass moved in after an unusually warm February and March, causing vegetation to develop about three weeks ahead of schedule. The sudden frost caused significant damage to early-budding plants.
CLIMATIG provides climate risk predictions up to the year 2100, and the new late frost risk feature will significantly aid in the planning of agricultural crops.
